How we protect you as a traveler

From the moment you book to the moment your experience ends, we have multiple layers of protection in place.

Identity-Verified Hosts

Every host on Pakistan Locals has submitted their CNIC (Computerised National Identity Card). Our team manually reviews and verifies each document before a host can list an experience. Only verified hosts display the ✓ badge.

Secure Booking & Escrow

Your payment is held securely in escrow. The host receives their payout only 24 hours after your experience is confirmed complete. If an experience is cancelled by the host, you receive a full refund automatically.

Transparent Review System

After every experience, you can leave a detailed star rating and written review. Reviews are never deleted by hosts. This helps future travelers make informed decisions and holds hosts accountable.

24/7 Safety Support

Our safety team is available around the clock via WhatsApp, phone, and email. If something goes wrong during your experience, call us immediately — we will coordinate with local authorities if necessary.

Cancellation Policy Protection

Every listing has a clear cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict) shown before you book. Flexible policies give you a full refund up to 24 hours before the experience. No hidden terms.

Video-Audited Kitchens

Home Kitchens undergo a live video audit by our team to verify hygiene standards, cooking facilities, and safety. We inspect before any kitchen listing goes live.

How we protect you as a host

We are committed to making every host feel safe, supported, and respected.

Traveler Verification

Travelers sign up with verified email and phone numbers. For high-value bookings (over PKR 25,000), we require additional identity confirmation before the booking is accepted.

Booking Protection

Hosts receive cancellation fees if travelers cancel within the policy window. Last-minute no-shows are treated as non-refundable. You are never left out of pocket for confirmed bookings.

Host Protection Policy

If a traveler causes damage to your property during an experience, our Host Protection team investigates the claim and helps you receive compensation up to PKR 200,000.

Community Standards Enforcement

Travelers who violate community standards — harassment, disrespect, no-shows without communication — are warned, suspended, or permanently banned from the platform.

How we verify hosts

Our multi-step verification is the most rigorous in Pakistani travel marketplaces.

CNIC Submission & Cross-Check

Hosts upload front and back photos of their CNIC. We manually cross-check the name, father's name, and address against NADRA records where possible. Mismatches are flagged for additional verification.

Address & Background Review

Our team verifies the host's listed city and address using satellite imagery and local knowledge checks. Hosts providing experiences at specific venues must confirm the venue location.

Video Audit (Selected Categories)

Home Kitchens, Adventure Jeeps, and multi-day expedition guides undergo a video call with our team. We inspect hygiene, equipment, vehicle safety, and the host's knowledge of the experience they are offering.

Ongoing Review Monitoring

Every review is read by our team. Hosts with a pattern of negative reviews are contacted for improvement coaching. Hosts who receive reports of misconduct are suspended pending investigation.

  • Sharing genuine knowledge of your culture, land, and food
  • Respectful communication between hosts and travelers
  • Constructive, honest reviews — positive or negative
  • Negotiating group discounts directly within the platform
  • Offering custom private experiences for groups

What is not allowed

  • Off-platform payments to bypass our escrow protection
  • Fake, misleading, or AI-generated reviews
  • Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behaviour
  • Listing experiences you are not qualified to safely lead
  • Sharing guest personal information outside the platform
  • Hosting experiences at unverified or unsafe locations
